| History | For decades, Dartmouth students have rubbed the nose of a bronze bust of Warren Bentley in the Hopkins Center for good luck. Warren Bentley spent 41 years at Dartmouth and oversaw the creation of the Hopkins Center for the Arts, which opened in November 1962.
There is a similiar tradition of rubbing the nose of a bronze bust of Craven Laycock, Dartmouth class of 1896 and dean of the College from 1911 to 1934. The Craven Laycock bust is located in the Baker Library's Tower Room. |
Small bronze bust, near the entrance of the Hopkins Center from the Dartmouth Green.
